> Go see the others
Stepping away from the railing, you decide to go visit the others. Maybe you can come up with something to do with them. As you head back down off of the deck and into the ship, you decide that Floria’s probably still too sick to really do anything with. With that, you head over to Marcus and Faera’s room.
Stepping into the room, you spot the deergirl reading a book. Marcus is nowhere to be found though.
“Hey.” You speak up. Faera jumps a little, seeming a bit startled at your sudden appearance. “Geez, calm down.”
“A-ah… Sorry. I was not expecting you there…” Faera looks up to you, setting her book down. “Is there something you needed, Myla?”
“Nah, just bored.” You shrug before looking around. “Where’s Marcus?”
“Oh. I’m not sure. He said he was going to go take a walk.” The deergirl replies. “Perhaps he went to check on Floria? He did seem rather worried about how ill she’s been.”
“Sounds good to me.” You shake your head, stepping into the room and sitting on one of the chairs near Faera. “To be honest, I’m getting a bit tired of taking care of her. He can take his turn with her. All I know is that I doubt we’ll be taking any airships in the future.”
“Indeed.” Faera nods. She pauses for a few moments, thinking. “We will be arriving in Shi’la tonight, correct? Perhaps some time on the ground will do her some good.”
“Yeah. Probably gonna see about getting some potions or something to make her less sick for the rest of the trip.” You lean back in your chair, glancing over at the book Faera was reading. “So… What were ya reading anyway?”
“A-ah? You mean… this?” The deergirl hesitates, kind of moving the book away from view. “I-it is just a novel.”
“Yeah? What’s it about?” You ask. “Seriously, I’m bloody bored as hell here. Tell me about it or something.”
“I-I am not sure if that is… Um…” Faera lets out a heavy sigh. “If it is all the same to you, I would rather not…”
“Bah, fine. Whatever.” You give up, standing again and turning to leave the room. “I guess I’m just gonna go see how our sick rabbit is doing-”
You’re interrupted by a sudden shaking of the airship. You hear what sounds like a small explosion.
Faera also notes it and quickly stands as well. “Wh-what was that?” The deergirl’s voice sounds concerned. “An explosion? D-did something happen?”
You hear voices shouting somewhere on the ship. “It came from the rear of the ship. That can’t be good…” You quickly turn to Faera. “We need to find Floria and Marcus. I’ve got a bad feeling.” The deergirl nods quickly back to you.
With that, the two of you quickly make your way to Floria’s room. Opening the door, you find it empty. No sign of either her or Marcus. “Oh for the love of…” You growl a bit. “Why the hell did you pick now to leave the bloody room?!”
“Perhaps they went to investigate?” Faera offers. “I certainly hope they did not but…”
“It’s Floria, of course she bloody did.” You shake your head. “Come on, we’ve gotta-”
The airship shakes again, much more violently this time. Then, a powerful explosion rocks the entire vessel!
You lose your balance and tumble, hitting a table hard with your head. Everything goes black…
